North Korea Tests Nuclear Weapon

Meanwhile, the White House leaps into immediate action and draughts an apology.

  1. 10--20 kiloton? That's Hiroshima/Nagasaki-level. Article says that the reaction from Hussein Husseinovich was not an immediate apology (please don't sell the man short, Mr. Szondy), but a condemnation. A strongly-worded one, too. Maybe we'll even go to the UN if D.L. Kim doesn't start playing nicely.

Not a happy thing to see when logging in for a minute during the Memorial Day weekend.

  2. Gosh, the U.N.? Isn't that a little harsh? They might form a commission to study the problem, or even draft a non-binding resolution!
