This sort of thing does no one any good because it trivialises an enemy who openly makes war on all civilised men of all faiths, Islam included, stirs resentment among the British people who know flannel when they see it, and treats Muslim immigrants as unruly children who must be fawned over and placated instead of responsible adults to be addressed as equals who expect no favours.
We are all in for some very rough sailing if this doesn't change.

ReplyDeleteAs I understand, indulging evil children results in Eric Cartman. This is either fear at work, or some strange idea that Islamists are in the mood to reciprocate kindness. Free clue: people reciprocate good treatment when they are interested in business relationships. When they're out to conquer you they'll take any advantage you give and use it against you.
So are these New Labor folks stupid, or craven?

ReplyDeleteHonestly, I can't understand the basis for a pacifist mentality, yet it seems to hold sway in so many areas these days.
Last week a nut threw a bomb at a lawyer's office here in Georgia and a comment was made on a radio station's website saying that at least it was just the bomber himself that was killed and not someone innocent. (sadly there some injuries)
I agree, in fact a better situation would have been for this lout to have blown himself up while still at home that morning.
Yet someone else came onto the site and admonished the commenter for his thoughtlessness.
I don't get that kind of reasoning at all.
Common sense seems to have gone away.
Sergej is right, pandering to those who wish you death will only get you killed.

Once someone decides to fight you, it's over. I got saved by the end of middle school after almost an entire school year of day to day tit-for-tat fighting against three idiots who had something against me. And for the first month I tried to calm down the situation by various desperate humiliating methods.

It only made things worse.
Anyway, in my humble opinion, NEVER pander a certain enemy, because striking an enemy is like homework, it has to be done, the sooner, the better, no matter how radical this may sound.
And of course, this is never easy to do, but the conflict won't solve itself.
