They Came From Beyond Space

And stayed beyond their welcome.

  1. Someone must have gotten the director a new camera dolly for Christmas, the office scenes are like a ride at an amusement park!
And the cutaways, those were some sharp editing scissors.
Funny thing, soon as I saw this was based on "The Gods Hate Kansas" I remembered the James Franciscus TV movie that was a later retelling of the story.
I didn't put it together until the doctor scene and the head plate.
Do any government people in England still do the bowler hat? Or is that strictly a stereotype now?

  2. This film was on two different budget SFDVDs.
    (50 movies for $20)

I still havent gotten around to watching it.

  3. JSL: It's actually better than I was giving it credit for being. Just the old Bentley cruising around is worth the watch. I wasn't aware at first that the director was Freddie Francis of Hammer film fame and that made for interesting viewing as well. And then Michael Gough showed up and did a bit of overacting. To cap it off there's the wacky 60s music that kept things going too.
The only letdown was the overall story. Go figure!
